How to Go from 0 to 1000 YouTube Subscribers

Do you have dreams of becoming the next big YouTube star? Or maybe you have a business that you want to promote to your target audience. Whatever your reason, this platform is an excellent way to engage with consumers and build your brand.

YouTube is the 2nd most visited website globally, with over 1.9 billion people logging in every month. Due to the volume of people visiting the site, new channels are aggressively popping up across the platform.

If you hope to make it big on YouTube, you have to get your first 1000 subscribers. Unfortunately, that climb from 0 to 1000 is the hardest part of the journey. We want to make it a little bit easier for business owners and soloprenuers trying to grow their first channel. We will provide some helpful tips that you can use to improve your subscriber count, engagement, and visibility.

Choose a Schedule and Niche

Your audience expects you to post relevant content consistently. If you’re posting a travel vlog one day, a video game review the following day, and a cooking tutorial over the weekend, you’re going to leave people feeling confused.

Instead of knowing what to expect, they may decide to wait until one of your videos that appeals lands in their feed. When you consider that over 500 hours of content get uploaded to YouTube every minute, it’s easy to see why consistency is essential.

People seek out channels that post content that they want to see. The truth is, there are plenty of other channels that can offer specific content if you’re not consistent. It all boils down to picking a niche and sticking with it. Find something you love and want to talk about if you’re a solopreneur. Business owners can create videos about their products or industry.

Speaking of staying consistent, you should try to keep a regular schedule. This will ensure that your subscribers will know when to check in for your latest posts. If you’re able to build trust with your audience by delivering great content on time, they will become the foundation of your channel.

How to Join the YouTube Partner Program

YouTube Partner Program Requirements

Before deciding you want to be a YouTube partner, you have to figure out whether you meet the requirements that all YouTube channels looking to join the program must satisfy. They are:

  • Follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and best practices for content creators.

  • Comply with the YouTube monetization policies. These policies will tell you what to do to make money with the content you upload to the platform.

  • Live in one of the countries or regions where the YouTube Partner Program is available. Spain, the United States, and Italy are among the eligible markets.

  • Have more than 4,000 valid public watch hours during the last 12 months. Your channel must hit this minimum traffic level before making the leap towards the YouTube Partner Program.

  • Have at least 1,000 subscribers.

  • Link your YouTube account to an AdSense account

How to join the YouTube Partner Program

If your YouTube channel meets the requirements we just mentioned, it’s time to request you become a YouTube Partner. You should also go through the two-step verification process for your Google account for greater protection because your request could get delayed if you don’t.

It’s time to accept the Terms and Conditions for the YouTube Partner Program. How do you apply to be a YouTuber Partner? The steps are as follows:

  1. Log in using your account.

  2. In the upper right-hand corner, click on your profile picture and select YouTube Studio

  3. In the menu on the left, search for and click on Monetization.

  4. If you currently don’t satisfy the requirements, you can click on “Notify me when I’m eligible” to get an email when you reach 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 valid public viewing hours in the last year. If you’ve met these requirements, you’re ready to go. Go to the tab that says “Review Partner Program terms” and click “Start.”

  5. Accept the terms, and then you’ll see a green “Done” in that box.

Recall that you must have an AdSense account. They’ll ask you to link an AdSense account to receive payments. How can you link it up?

  1. Click Start on the “Sign Up for Google AdSense” card. If you already have an active account, check everything’s correct, and if not, follow the instructions that show up on your screen to create it.

  2. Once you’ve linked up the account, you’ll see a green “Ready” in the “Sign Up for Google AdSense” box.

With that, you’ve successfully completed the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) application process, and you have to wait for YouTube to review and approve or reject it. YouTube has a team consisting of teams and automated systems to confirm that the channel’s content satisfies all the requirements. The review process tends to take about a month but can take longer. The only thing you can do is wait and keep uploading content in the meantime.
